Sardinia’s first 112 Public Safety Answering Point

AREUS (Regional Emergency Service Agency of Sardinia) had a specific need to offer Sardinian and non Sardinian citizens, regardless of where they are and what language they speak, an emergency system as advanced as that of other Italian and European countries.

Started in experimentation as early as the end of 2022, 112 Single European Emergency Number is now largely active in almost the whole of Sardinia. A complex project, carried out in collaboration with Beta 80 Group ended with the activation of the 112 PSAP in Sassari which serves the entire region.
